The European
Gendarmerie Force (EGF) exists It
is a transnational body of armed, militarised, centrally-commanded
riot police, such as we have never seen in Britain, but which
are quite common in continental European countries. They
are training in Vicenza, Italy, for the moment. Their
only mention in the British media have been an article
in the Sunday
Express (9.9.07) and a letter in the Daily
Telegraph(12.2.08). If you missed these, you won’t
have heard of them.
Yet they can be seen on their own official website www.eurogendfor.eu
FACT
The EGF is an EU initiative, even if all member states are
not yet taking part. Its legal basis is the little-known Treaty of Velsen, signed
in Holland on 18th October 2007 by five states. You can read
the full text of this treaty on www.eurogendfor.eu
FACT
Under Article
6.3 of the above Treaty, the EGF may be “stationed
and deployed” on the “territory of a third state” with
that state’s “agreement”.
Lord Pearson (UKIP) and Bob Spink MP (Con) asked Foreign
Secretary David Milliband and also Lord West and Jim Murphy
for an assurance that the present British Government would
never agree to the EGF entering Britain. THIS ASSURANCE WAS
REFUSED BY EACH OF THESE THREE.
FACT
Since
the EGF is officially a “police” force
- although to us Brits it looks more like an army of occupation
- it comes under “Justice and Home Affairs”(JHA).
Up until now, JHA has always been a national prerogative.
This will change with the Lisbon Treaty, which places JHA
under the supreme control of the European Court of Justice. CONCLUSION
Unless the Lisbon
treaty is stopped, Britain will sooner or later see units
of the EGF , recruited from all over Europe(even
Turkey) patrolling our streets, with powers to arrest us
and to impose alien laws on us , such as the EU’s project
of a single criminal code based on Napoleonic principles.
This will wrench away our age-old safeguards of Habeus corpus
and Trial by Independent Jury.
THE PRESENCE OF THE EGF ON OUR STREETS WILL BE WHAT MAKES
ALL THE TREATY ARRANGEMENTS IRREVERSIBLE, FOR IF OUR BRITISH
AUTHORITIES EVER TELL THEM TO GO, THEY WILL NOT LEAVE.THEY
WILL ONLY OBEY THEIR MASTERS IN BRUSSELS.
